Solutions Architect / Senior Application Engineer

Among the different markets we serve, we are the main applications supplier of the Call taking & Dispatching solutions for the Belgian Federal and Local Police (101 National Emergency number) in the context of the A.S.T.R.I.D. initiative, for the Great Duchy of Luxemburg Police and contribute substantially to the harmonization of the unique European 112 Emergency number for all the citizen’s Emergency needs.

The Senior Application Engineer has primarily the willingness to become an expert in the markets and technologies HEXAGON SIG is deserving. He/She is keen to maintain and augment permanently his/her technical skills. He/She will acquire the competence to understand the needs and constraints of our prospects and customers with the main objectives to propose solutions based on our main products.

With this expertise, the Senior Application Engineer will be able to cover the whole life cycle of our projects: pre-sales activities, design and implementation of the solution, training and support. As a senior team member, he’ll play the role of technical lead in his projects, representing HEXAGON’s expertise towards the customers and being a key contributor for HEXAGON’s Product Center.

He / She must tackle all the questions, issues and problems raised by customers and their environments and be able to speak the language and understand the needs of the emergency world. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Senior Application Engineer for an immediate start in Brussels (Belgium).

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop HEXAGON SI products and technology high expertise
• Strive to acquire expertise and domain knowledge in the industries we serve
• Maintain and develop personal effectiveness
• Technical analyses and feasibility studies
• Participate in work estimation for services proposals
• Prepare and give HEXAGON SI products demonstrations or seminars
• Implement HEXAGON SI solutions into customers production environments
• Provide customers support in their implementation and usage of HEXAGON SI products
• Provide training and technical consultancy services on HEXAGON SI products suite
• Provide development of and support for locally developed codes

• Minimum 8 years of experience in software maintenance
• Knowledge and administration of WEB sites and services
• Knowledge and administration of Operating System (Windows Server and Desktop)
• Knowledge of database MS SQL Server 2012 (or higher) and Oracle 11g (or higher)
• Knowledge of SQL and scripting languages
• Knowledge of network and infrastructure
• Knowledge of .Net Technologies : WPF, Winforms, WCF , ASP .NET MVC, Net Core
• Basic knowledge in communication (Radio/Telephony) is a plus
• GIS knowledge is welcome
• Initiative and dynamic attitude, team player
• Able to plan and carry out by his/her own multiple work assignments while respecting deadlines
• Stress resistant
• Languages skills: Dutch and/or French and English (must have), German (is a plus)

Legal Obligation

• In order to access the high security sites, he / she will be obliged to receive a legal access authorization. This condition is absolutely mandatory to work for our Public Safety department.
