Develop a deep understanding of the Geospatial product range and leverage this knowledge to provide expert technical guidance.
Understand and leverage the technical approach to building customer-tailored solutions based on the Hexagon Geospatial product and solution range across other SIG EMEA countries.
Act as a key technical advisor, supporting Sales, Pre-Sales, and Project Management teams in designing and delivering innovative solutions.
Utilization and adaptation of existing custom developments from international projects.
Take the role of a technical lead in government and transportation projects, ensuring technical feasibility, compliance, and successful execution in close collaboration with project management.
Define and oversee system architecture with a focus on scalability, security, and efficiency.
Lead the design and implementation of cloud and server infrastructure, ensuring proper documentation.
Support the sales team analyzing and answering public tenders by reviewing technical requirements, ensuring compliance, and contributing to proposal development.
Play an inspiring and advising role in collaboration with customers during the definition of technical solutions.
Assisting teams in solving technical challenges, provide hands-on support when necessary.
Act as a mentor and technical lead, guiding engineering teams in best practices for system design and development.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in government, public, or transportation sectors.
Take responsibility to represent Hexagon at technical boards and industry-specific standardization organizations.
Job requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Geoinformatics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a System Architect, Technical Lead, or similar role.
Knowledge of current cloud technologies (certification is a plus).
Strong understanding of software architecture, system integration, and infrastructure design.
Experience working with government, public sector, or transportation industries is a plus.
Familiarity with public tendering processes and related documentation.
Ability to translate business needs into scalable, reliable technical solutions.
Hands-on programming experience (not as a full-time developer, but to support technical teams).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make strategic technical decisions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fluency in English is required; German is a strong plus.
